Shadow Art

These are pictures of our shadow art of "space." We had to put together different things so that their shadows looked like real things. The rocket in the center was made using some sort of plastic object, a spoon, and to cups taped to the bottom. We also cut out a picture of fire and taped it to the bottom of the rocket, but it's difficult to see with the background. The moon in the top right corner was made from a tinfoil pie plate with holes cut out of it. The stars we just cut out of paper. Overall I thought this project was pretty successful. We were going to add a shooting star at the top made with a curly string of paper to represent its path and cut a star out of paper, but it didn't look too good and its shadow was very difficult to see.
